Greetings!
Well, well... I decided to take time to enter Alexander's info into the
FAQ and fix some issues with the webpage and I discovered that I had an
FAQ version offline that had a higher number than that online... so in
addition to new mailing list info in the FAQ, there should be some
other goodies too.
As for joining the webring... my goal was always to link to any and ALL
AR pages out there in my links section. But pherhaps I can try to make
some time to make room for a webring banner on my page too some day.
And slightly off-topic, regarding the AR remake discussions that flared
up again... There is a reverse-engineered version of Elite for Windows
95 just released (at http://www.newkind.co.uk/elite.html).
This brings up a new issue for an AR remake. As this Elite version is
almost 100% accurate and true to the original, pherhaps someone with
reverse-engineering knowledge (and Atari 8-bit knowledge I guess) would
be able to recreate AR for Windows.
Just to see how it works, I truly recommend visiting the site, as it's
a great piece of work, has great info and even the source code for the
port!
Sincerely, Robert Hagenström
