Yes, I do have information on that subject, along with other trivia on
the sourcecode and it's whereabouts... but I did not want to put that
in the FAQ, since it would probably spam me or Philip Price and Ken
Jordan with questions about the source.
But, I can always give you what I know in this forum (since it has been
said before by Ken Jordan and Dan Pinal themselves, anyway): It was
coded using Merlin assembler on the Apple II (source is stored on 50
disks, 140k each). Oh, and the game uses a custom OS and is encrypted
using a simple scheme (pherhaps Ken or Dan remembers what algorithm was
used?).
As for The City, I can't currently locate any details regarding the
code, but it must be in assembler that too, but I don't know on what
format it was coded on, nor how the source is stored. If Philip Price
is on this list, pherhaps he can enlighten us?
