Oh yeah, I know that really well myself. I breeze through SNES RPGs
quickly these days, sometimes going to read a FAQ halfway through a
game because I'm stuck.
The wide availability of FAQs is definitely part of it. Another thing
I think though, is the amount of free time available these days. I'm a
lot busier than I used to be, and I think this is may be true of many
others as well. I don't have so much time to spend figuring out
puzzles. :(
