Greetings!
Ok, so it's way to late for me to be writing this, but I still wanted
to get it done.
I bet I've unknowingly missed alot of things, but amongst the things I
do know I missed are:
- Temporal Fugue, which apparently is a word (and not just a variation
of "tempus fugit") and supposedly means "the flow of time", but I
didn't manage to confirm it nor put it into context (ie. find the
origin).
- Winged Sandals... though associated with greek myth... were they
really?
Further, the dwarven ring might be a Tolkien reference, I have no clue
about Morgana's Tiara (cept if it's a mispelling of Morgan from
Arthuran legends or some reference to "fata morgana"), and basilisks
are so "common" these days that I don't even think they're worth
mentioning.
But except for Xebec, doesn't The City have any trivia? If not, it's
sure an interesting fact, but not to put Ken Jordan or Dan Pinal in a
bad light, I'll hold that tidbit to myself.
Sincerely, Robert Hagenstrom
PS. Since I didnt' manage to finish the other section I'm working on, a
FAQ update will have to wait, so for the interested reader on this
list, here's the complete trivia section:

5.5 HIDDEN TRIVIA
Presented in this section is a list of trivia items that can be found
in Alternate Reality.
Though a man with a classical education might object to this being
listed in the "secrets"
section, it could very well be that the authors of the games more or
less wanted to hide
these facts.
* Xebec is a type of ship (see section 6.1 for further information).
* According to Greek mythology, a golden apple was thrown by lady Eris
(the goddes of chaos
and confusion) into a banquet of gods, which started the Trojan war.
Inscriped in the apple
was the word "Kallisti", which means "to the fairest" or "to the
prettiest"...
* Damon and Pythias (or Phintias, as Pythias is a female name) is a
story taken from
about 5000 years BC about true friendship. The two men are
"Pythagoreans", and friends
who live together and the story goes that Pythias is condemned to
death by the tyrant
Dionysius I of Syracuse, for conspiring against him. However, Damon
offers to be
excecuted Pythias place, so the latter can go on a journey to arrange
some family affairs.
Damon honored his offer, and when Pythias returned at the last
moment, Dionysius was so
taken by their friendship that he remitted the sentence.
* Rathskeller is ancient german and translates into "advice cellar" (it
is a common name for
pubs or inns).
Other things mentioned which are more obvious are: Shield of Galahad
(the pure son of Lancelot
who found the Holy Grail, according to Arthurian legend), Mordred's
Shield (the bastard son
of Arthur and Arthur's sister, or half-sister, from the same legends)
and Robin's Hood (from
14th century English balads).
