I've played RIFTS, my comments are in line.

Powers seemed to be based more on character class
selection than on stats. A psychic was no match for a
boom boy, or whatever those guys in those walking
suits of armor were.

As long as he runs and hides from bigger enemies...

Really? This was never my experience in Rifts.
