Subject: Fairness in RPGs
Author: Mark W <developer2013--yahoo.com>

I think Role Playing is done for fun, or some other
sort of satisfaction (venting, release, etc.). It's up
to the contributers as consenting people to come up
with the 'rules' and style that's comfortable for
them.

Rules that come in books are great because they give
you a sense that your game exists in some sort of
objective world beyond simply what your mind comes up
with. A belief that there's some sort of order to the
universe.

But you're still free to do what you want. There is no
right or wrong, just what works for you. =)
