Okay, here's a challenge.

Create a generic AR style engine. Minimally it should have:

- Combat
- Location / map
- UI
- Items
- NPC's (monsters)

Additionally, it could have

- GUI map editor
- quest logic & editor
- multi-player (server/client, chat, two characters on same square detection)
- import images (animated/transparent GIF for monsters, etc.)
- import MIDI & MP3 music

And I contend that it could be done using Flash as the front end, which would make things easier, for example the vector graphics might make scrolling walls easier.

I bet a working skeleton could be cobbled together in a month, which could be added to.
