Oh. the Architect. Yeah, he probably confounded 90% of the audience, and half the people that went to see it a second time probably were trying to figure out what he was talking about.
I was mostly talking about the Oracle/Keymaker thing. They didn't deliberate, they didn't make a decision, they didn't think, they just did. "Duh... Keymaker? Ok. Uh, how do I know I can trust you? Oh, right, the movie would grind to a halt if I didn't."

Yeah, I'm looking foward to playing the game... I wonder if the director's cut will just intersperse the video game with th emovie.

The problem I had with the movie - and I certainly enjoyed it - was that the plot was a little thin and the characters not fleshed out enough. They didn't hide the seams well enough plotwise. It always bugs me when a big budget movie has a rushed plot becuase they obviously spent so much time on the special effects, why not devete some of that time and money to the plot?
As a writer I know when something just isn't coming together, and it's nearly impossible to figure out what will make it fall into place under pressure. Often it's a personal blind spot, and I think if someone else - the right someone else - was brought in it would've been better.
Or maybe they made half a movie to match their half a game?
