Kyle,
I was well aware of the possibility that your SO could be your boyfriend... I did say SO in the essay, and I was vaguely aware that I was making a distinction you weren't in my previous post.
Reloaded... I always figured it was a reference to the fact that it was the second in the series... Never gave it much thought beyond that. It certainly makes sense that it could also mean rebooted in terms of the storyline.
I noticed the bowling pin sound. Funny, but funny is out of character for the Matrix, IMHO. I did notice that the EMP made visual waves in the first movie... something that it wouldn't do in real life.
The french guy survived the other Neo's... This is why I need to re-watch the movie, picking up on details like this. When it comes out in iMax... mwa ha ha. Anyway didn't the Architect say that Neo would have to choose several people to rebuild the Matrix with? Oh wait a minute... The French guy is a program. He survived the same way the Architect and the Oracle survived. I guess he didn't want to give up his position in The Matrix this time, or something along those lines.
I also thought that about the Oracle... She's the one who introduced the flaw. Is she in hiding? I seem to remember her implying that she was.
Regards,
Mark
