Actually, I seem to remember another way of getting a super-high alignment
than actually being nice to people.. well, sorta. some could call it
cheating, too... ;-) I haven't tried it in a long time though so I may be
wrong....
But....
if you create a City character, you begin with the highest possible
alignment and can only go downhill.. save your character immediately before
actually doing anything in the city.. no encounters, nothing. Then transfer
that character to the dungeon, you still have the highest possible alignment
and can access the 'pure' alignment goodies.
