Both are multi-layered worlds with many cultural references that you one day discover is actually a computer simulation designed to keep you content for various purposes. During both you discover the truth about your world, and have to make the choice - whether or not to continue to live in the computer world, take revenge on your captors, or return home.

Temporal Fugue / Bullet Time is a good analogy becuase once you realize you're in a computer simulation, how else would you be able to slow down time if magic didn't exist?

I think The Oracle = The Oracle, I don't know that the Gargoyle actually tells you that much about yourself or your future, but I could be wrong, I'd ahve to go back and read the riddles.

The numbers on the top of the screen, I think are a clue to the fact that you're inside a computer (can someone confirm that this was the intent, I remember Phil saying something about this), just like at an unconscious level everyone inside The Matrix knows the truth about their situation.

What about Danjor? The 7 knights you defeat who say "Are you the one?" BTW - I just got it. What's wrong, Kevpin didn't roll of the tongue?

The subtle manipulation of colors inside The Matrix (green) and AR ("the darkness comes they take the colors away.").

You need to go back and read Section 2.4 THE COMPLETE PLANS FOR AR from Philip to get the full scope of how similar the two are.

There's mention of an alternate "ending" to the Dungeon and a sanctuary on level four... did this make it's way into the game?
