My introduction to it was with the PC version, so
whenever that came out... I want to say 1990, maybe a
little later? It came as part of a demo package and
you couldn't save, so I'd sit in front of the computer
playing it for 8 or 9 hours straight as often as I
could, trying to get as far as I could before my
parents made me shut it off - once I got to level 8,
then I got killed by a ghost. Fortunately, several
years ago I came across the saveable version. Since
then, I've also played around with the Atari emulators
a little bit, but I've never been able to play the
Dungeon - not ever. ok - that's not entirely true - I
got to move my character around, even fight things,
but never enter buildings, so I played it for about 5
minutes once, and spent a lot more time than that
trying to figure out why xl-it wasn't xl-ing.
