Hi there,
I've been following the list on and off for the last
couple of years but haven't posted anything until now.
I've recently been playing various versions of The
City and The Dungeon and had a few questions (I
originally played The Dungeon around 1987 on my C64).
While playing around with WinUAE and the Amiga version
of The City I found a tool that extracted all the data
files from the Amiga disk image leaving me with
(presumably) a set of AR files.
These included a "Songs" directory containing 14 files
including Ganthem and Moments. There's also a
directory containing .instr and .ss files. Can anybody
tell me what format these might be in and if there is
a dos/windows player that can read this format? I
thought it might be Aegis Sonix / SMUS but couldn't
find anything to convert / read these files on a PC.
I was also interested in the other files. Is there any
information available about the file formats used in
any of the versions to store the map, items, monsters
etc?
Thanks,
Guilherme
