If you were really twisted you'd give your entries names like Devourer, and
Mind Flayer to really keep 'em guessing. "'scuse me, my ex is calling."
Early phones with programmable and downloadable ring tones were so popular
that greedy phone companies figured they had a new market and pressured
makers to put restrictions on the phones. Downloadable ringtones are just
an SMS with a special header that newer phones don't allow you to create.
The message itself is simplified Midi. By limiting the number on your
phone they hoped you'd download a new one or two every month. AT&T tried
to get me to opt for an extra charge every month to download ringtones from
their website, the very same ones all over the web. I think they just shot
themselves in the foot.

Nothing kills enthusiasm as quickly as a small entrance fee.
