I doubt it - what happens is these people take valid
email domains, and randomly generate the address,
sending out thousands upon thousands upon THOUSANDS of
emails, hoping to catch at least one bite.

If you reply to their email address or follow the link
in the message, they'll probably flag your email
address as valid, then they'll send it off to others.

That is actually the *true* definition of spam - as
unfortunate as it is.

AR--... is an easy one to randomly generate, since it's
only 2 letters. What you might want to do is create a
longer email address for this mailing group. I've
been using my sgosselink address for about 5 years,
and have been almost completely untouched by spammer
(but my virtuefx account, on the other hand, is
attacked quite frequently by that exact email that
you're referring to, and its variants)
