Subject: Bard's Tale, anyone?

I was just flipping through some video game magazine and there is a review
of a new Bard's Tale being made.. this one is not a grassroots effort... It
apparently is being put together by some of the people involved in the
original game, although the name I most associate with it, Michael Crawford,
is not involved. It's expected to ship sometime next year. The review
made it sound interesting, although it also said it would not be very much
like the original trilogy. I expect it is an attempt at riding on the
coattails of earlier success to get people to notice it, similar to how
Beachhead 2000 from Access Software was nothing like the original Beachhead
from Access in the 80's. But it did sound interesting. I think the driving
force behind this is to parody some of the crap that is getting passed off
as RPGs these days. They have secured the trademark for "The Bard's Tale"
worldwide except in the US, and are trying to get it here.

P.S. Keep your hands off the woman's "goods.." ;-) Three strikes and
