Brad,
I've found Vice to be the best option for playing the
C64 version of the Dungeon. Vice has a snapshot option
that lets you save the contents of the emulated c64's
memory to a disk file so there is no need to use the
games built-in save feature at all - this saves you a
lot of time swapping disk images and so on.
The disk images I use for C64 Dungeon don't recognise
disk 1 correctly anyway which means you can't save
your game properly (if you try to use a character
disk).
