As far as the lagality of making an updated version of
AR.... As long as you didn't attemp to make a profit
from it I don't think there would be anything wrong
with you making an updated AR. PHillip Price holds the
rights to the game and he has been on this list in the
past (though not in a long while) Last we heard he was
in the process of making an updated version of AR on
his own (Read: with no backing from a software
company) after he made that announcement on the list
he gave us a couple updates and then dissapeared. Gary
Gilberston was on the list as well, and posted more
recently.
I would love nothing more than to see an updated AR if
for no other reason than to be able to finish the
series. I was really sad the day the ARO website
finally came down, even though we knew for a long time
before that the project had been scrapped.
